ಅಟ್ಟಲ್ಲಿ ಕಟ್ಟಿ ಮಡುಗಿದ ಹಪ್ಪಳ, ಸೊನೆ ಉಪ್ಪಿನಕಾಯಿ, ಸಾಂತಾಣಿ, ತೋಟಕ್ಕೋಪಗ ಕೊಳತ್ತು ನಾರುವ ಹಲಸಿನಹಣ್ಣು, ಕೆರೆ ತುಂಬಿ ಹೆರಹೋಪ ಒರತೆಯ ನೀರು, ಮಾಡಿಂದ ದರ-ದರಾನೆ ಧಾರಕಾರವಾಗಿ ಒಂದೇ ಶಬ್ದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೀಳುವ ನೀರು, ಮನೆ ಎದುರೆಲ್ಲ ಜಾರದ್ದಾಂಗೆ ಹಾಕುವ ಅಡಕ್ಕೆಮರದ ಕಾಲ್ಸಂಕ, ಮಡ್ಲು.... ಜೋರು ಮಳೆ ಅಚಾನಕ್ ಆಗಿ ಬಂದರೆ ತೋಟಲ್ಲಿಪ್ಪ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಬಾಳೆಲೆ ಅಡಿಲಿ ನಿಂಬದು, ನೀರು ಮಾಡಿಂದ ಬೀಳುವಗ ಅಪ್ಪ ಗುಳ್ಳೆ, ಅದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿಡುವ ಕಾಗದದ ದೋಣಿ, ಭೂಮಿ ತಂಪಾದಪ್ಪಗ ಎಳುವ ಹಾತೆಗೊ, ನಕ್ಕುರು, ಇಸ್ಕು, ಚೇರಟೆ, ನೀರ್ಕಡ್ಡಿ ಗೆಡು... ನಡು ಮದ್ಯಾನ್ನಲ್ಲು ಅಪ್ಪ ಕರ್ಗೂಡು ಕಸ್ತಲೆ... ಬೈಕ್-ಲಿ ಹೊಪಗ ಪಚಕ್ಕನೆ ರಟ್ಟುವ ಕೆಸರು... ಹುಮ್... many things to wait and see!

Backwater Beauty

This place is located in the backwater area of Linganamakki Dam, Located in the Shimoga District of Karnataka State. Shimoga district is known for World famous Jog Falls, a natural water falls located just after the Linganamakki Dam. As Dam water is mainly utilized for Hydroelectric Power Plant, in Summer the water dries up and the backwater area regains its scenic beauty as it was before the Dam was built. People are scared of crocodiles located in this backwater area and rarely try to enjoy with it. The people density also very rare as these forest/agricultural places are occupied by the dam water from early Monsoon (July) till early Summer (February).

ಮರುಭೂಮಿಯಂತಿದೆ, ನೀರಿಲ್ಲದೂರಿನಲಿ.
ಮರವಿಲ್ಲ, ನೆರಳಿಲ್ಲ, ಮುಂದೆ ಮಳೆಯೂ ಎಲ್ಲಿ?
ಬೇಸಗೆಯ ಶಾಖ ಜೊತೆ ಧೂಳಿನೋಕುಳಿಯಿದೆ.
ನಿಲ್ಲದಿರೆ ಇದರಲ್ಲೆ ಮನುಕುಲದ ಅಳಿವಿದೆ.
